Aglaonema
Commonly known as Chinese Evergreens.
Aglaonema have been grown as luck-bringing ornamental plants in Asia for centuries.Plants of this genus are native to humid, shady tropical forest habitats. They are vibrant and colorful, with patterned leaves and strong stalks.They are perfectly suited for the living room or office, bedroom or study.
The NASA Clean Air Study determined that the species modestum of this plant genus was effective at removing common household air toxins formaldehyde and benzene.

Things You Need To Know
Medium to low sunlight, protecting it from cold temperatures and excessive sunlight and removing any inflorescence that develop.
Can bloom anytime, but removing blooms will help prolong the life of the plant.
They require moist soil, and a small amount of fertilizer every 4-6 weeks, but can be injured by over supplementing.
They can grow up to 3' in both height and circumference, but they are slow growing and can be kept for many years.
Full grown Agalonemas require about 2' to 3" apart, slightly touching in decorative arrangements.
Agalonemas only require repotting about every three years, and as long as water levels are maintained and old leaves removed they should be beautiful for a long time.
