A classic palm tree color and shape, the Majesty Palm is a great for growing indoors, as they can do well and actually slow down growing after a few years, as long as they are kept in a pot.
Palms are among the best known and most extensively cultivated plant families. They have been important to humans throughout much of history, especially in regions like the Middle East and North Africa. In contemporary times, palms are also widely used in landscaping. In many historical cultures, because of their importance as food, palms were symbols for such ideas as victory, peace, and fertility.

This palm needs bright indirect light, and could also use a couple of hours of direct sunlight daily, but not all the time. During the summer they can be outside in Northern climates.
The palm requires a moist soil but not waterlogged. Make sure it doesn't dry out completely.
First start with a good potting soil and mix in some sand; perlite is also a good substitute. Use a good water soluable fertilizer for palms or cactus, and use it at half strength, about every two months during spring and summer, but not during the winter.
Majesty's can grow 10 to 12 feet indoors, and need a larger spread than most plants at about 6 feet.
These plants can be a little fickle, or they can respond by growing quickly. You'll need to find the good balance of light, water, fertilizer and temperature.
