Monstera is a genus of 59 species of flowering plants native to tropical regions of Central and South America. They are known for the unusual leaves with natural holes, or fenestrations (slits) and perforations (holes), that most members of the genus have. They have also been known for their edible fruit which tastes like a combination of peach and pineapple. {~Wikipedia}

These plants enjoy bright, indirect sunlight, and relatively warm temperatures, usually above 60ºF, but do not go below 50ºF. Indoors, keep them close to a window. that faces the sun, and in the summer they are good for outdoor patios and gardens.
These plants do better with a moist, but not too wet soil, typically well with most potting soils. Best to water every week or two, but don't overwater.
Any good plant fertilizer featuring "slow release" will be great for these plants. Fertilize during spring and summer, and you probably won't need to through the winter.
These plants do well with other plants but be aware that they're naturally made to climb up trunks of other trees. They do very well in pots usually 12" - 14". They will grow 4' to 8' indoors, larger outdoors provided they are in the right climate and partially to mostly shaded.
Please be advised these plants are toxic to pets. These plants are natural climbers, so a good addition to them would be a board or other object to climb on. They'll need to be repotted once they get too many vines, and/or roots coming out of the pot.
