Description
Beautiful palm like fronds of deep dark green with an impressive large trunk, it stands like royalty.
Cycas revoluta is a species of gymnosperm in the family Cycadaceae. The sago cycad can be distinguished by a thick coat of fibers on its trunk. The sago cycad is sometimes mistakenly thought to be a palm, although the only similarity between the two is that they look similar and both produce seeds.

King Sagos enjoy bright indirect light, or partial sun with some shading. Large quantities of direct sun can cause damage.
Sagos prefer soil that's pretty sandy, with good drainage. Leave it to get dry to the touch before watering. Sagos also enjoy getting misted occasionally.
Recommended that you use a stronger, balanced liquid fertilizer that is 15-15-15 to 20-20-20. Be generous but don't splash any of the leaves. Feed them about once a month during growing season. If planted in the ground, make sure to cover an area large enough to feed the roots.
Sagos can start small and remain for many years, eventually reaching up to 10 feet in diameter. They can grow in pots and be planted in the ground in warmer climates.
King Sago Palms are poisonous to children and pets.
